About Zanny

The Beginning of the Journey/Moving to NYC

After a difficult breakup in 2016, I became depressed and sought out help from mental health professionals. I found therapy to be so helpful in my healing and personal growth, I was inspired to get my masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, so I could help others find their path toward healing.

I learned about energy healing in 2017 and became attuned to Reiki and saw how it helped shift my energy. Shortly after, I moved to New York City and continued my healing studies. In NYC, I found myself immersed in so much diversity--surrounded by people from all different cultures and all walks of life. This experience opened me in profound ways I carry with me today. While in NYC, I received my crystal healing certification, and became Reiki II attuned and started holding sessions for friends. While in NYC, I devoted most of my time to my 200hr Hatha yoga teacher training and later completed my 500hr yoga teaching certification. Yoga introduced me to spirituality and has contributed to my overall self-awareness, healing and growth.

Transition to Atlanta

In 2018-2019, I moved back to Atlanta and continued my Masters degree at Mercer University. Soon after I was attuned at the Reiki Master level and became certified as a hypnotherapist under the American Board of Hypnotherapy.

In December of 2020, I graduated from Mercer University with my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I started my energy healing and hypnotherapy business and began working as a clinical therapist at The Summit Wellness Group, a holistic substance abuse treatment center. At Summit, I worked with a clinical treatment team to help clients heal who struggled with addiction.

Transition to Hawaii

In September of 2021, I had the inspiration to change my life and move to Maui, Hawaii. I worked at Maui Recovery Center as a Clinical Trauma Therapist for one year where I gained valuable experience leading psychoeducational groups and individual therapy. Currently, Iā€™m in private practice and see clients in person if you live in Maui or online via Zoom if you live anywhere else in the world.

I grew up on a southern farm in a conservative home in Social Circle, GA (45 miles east of Atlanta). I engage with healing modalities that may be foreign to some people, but clients find the techniques I use deeply profound and transformational. My life has been a journey of finding my own voice and my own way regardless of what society may want us to believe.

We all create our own reality with our words, thoughts, and actions. By making the unconscious, conscious, and focusing on our healing, we can set ourselves free of self-limiting beliefs and truly begin to feel free.

What I Like to Do for Fun

I am passionate about travel, learning about different cultures, and meeting new people. I have visited 16 countries and 34 states. In addition to traveling, I also enjoy running, dancing, yoga, meditation, and hiking trails on Maui with my husband, Mike.
